Homegrown Whitewater!

It is that time of year again for me!
I love the outdoors. I guess it is why I live in the mountains. Fresh air and the changing seasons. Not to mention all the wildlife! PURE HEAVEN!

In the 8 years I have lived in Tennessee, I have never missed a chance to get out into the wild. To that end I have taken up the sport of whitewater rafting! The main reason for this is, I live right next to a class 4 whitewater river. Some say this river was the runner up for the river scene in Deliverance! "Last of the Mohicans" was filmed along the "chucky" (as the locals here call it). Along with some documentaries.

The CC&O (Carolina, Clinchfield & Ohio) Railroad (Now CSX) ran/runs along the chucky. The CC&O was one of the largest in southeast at its prime. Could you imagine floating down the river in a jonboat and seeing those mighty steam engines rolling up and down the valley! WOW

Ok enough chit-chat.
I try to go atleast once a year (rafting that is). I have a company I like ofcourse. Don't get me wrong. I have tried all three outfitters here. I just have a preference is all. What comapny you ask? Well if I told you then that might make one less seat for me! (joking)

My company of choice is Cherokee Adventures. There are a few reasons for this. First is the fact that they are the first licensed outfitter in the state! The second is they are devoted to the Nolichucky (which is a great river to run IMHO. They do run other rivers but the "chucky" is the one they prefer. More on the river a bit latter.). Third is the saftey record of this company can't be touched (saftey is important in a wilderness setting). Forth is my value for my dollar. CA's price for what you get is awesome! They have packages to suit any adventuous spirit!

The Nolichucky is a natural flow river. It is not dam controlled so the amount of water depends on the amount of rain in the water shed. It is said among seasoned guides, "If you can learn to run the Noli at any water level...You can run any river in the world!" The Nolichucky is divided into two sections. The Upper Noli and the Lower Noli. The upper is where the real adventure is. With over 25 class II to class IV rapids, it is the place to go for high adventure!

The Lower Noli is for those that want an outdoor adventure but dont want a hard core workout in the process. The lower have class I and class II rapids with a single class III at the end of the trip. This type of whitewater is perfect for those that are older or too young to run the upper. or those with dibilitating conditions (Like ME!) It gives us the oportunity to get out into nature and have a bit of adventure along the way!

So... It is that time of year again...Time for me to get out and enjoy the day! Want to enjoy one with me? Give CA a call. The number is on the website!

Social Media Marketing........

what is the fuss all about?

I will admit it... I have a Facebook and a MySpace and as you can see at the bottom of my posts, I have a Twitter as well.

I had facebook and myspace long before I got my feet wet as an internet marketer. I am still new to Twitter however. It seems every where I look....Twitter is the place to be to sell if you are a marketer.

How did Twitter manifest itself into this sort of place? One only has to look at the front page of Twitter to see it is a place for people (friends) to send short messages about "What are you doing". Yet when you see a message from a marketer (most of them anyway) it has nothing to do with what he or she is doing at that exact moment, but rather what they have to sell.

I don't know about the rest of you...I would like to see some more personal stuff from them. Only a couple on my list post personal things. To those I say thank you! You know who you are too! Yes i think if that happens the Magic could have a 3-1 lead!

You may think I am being self-serving here. Maybe you think...well he is an internet marketer himself and he is saying all this stuff. To tell the truth yes I am starting out in Internet Marketing. Yes I started out going with the flow, and all my twitter posts were about selling something. I am also human. I like to have a bit of humanity directed towards me everyday.

Think what you like... These are my two cents!

Who should you or I trust?

In this day and age...
Every Internet Marketer seems to be a guru. They all have the "sure fire" way for you to explode your lists of hungry buyers! How can we be sure of this however? You read the sales pages of the so called guru's and what do you see? "How I made millions with this simple trick!"

Well what is simple to them may not be as simple to you and I.

From what I have read and what I have bought, most of this stuff was done in 2006 and 2007! While it worked back then...most agree it most likely will not work as well now! You are I may have a bit of success.... The question begs to be asked however.

What is your real goal? Is it to really help us "newbies" make a buck, or is it to make a buck yourself off of the hopes of newbies like us?

My personal feeling is this.
What we are being asked to buy is quite simply PLR (Private Label Rights) ebooks that were written back in 2005/2006. The words have been changed a bit, the dates, and the name of the author to suit the new seller.
Now please don't get me wrong. PLR is a way for people to make money online. In some cases quite a bit of money can be made!

What we need is for a "guru" to step forward and make a solemn promise to us newbies!
"No re-hashed junk in my PLR products!"
Very few of the marketers out there today seem to have genuine products. I have met a few in my recent travels around the net.
Scott Case
Here is a marketer who has a product that other marketers need and use! If you want to host a giveaway Scott is the man to get your script from!
Jason James
Here is a marketer who has set the standard for product launches! He has had at least 3 launches that have netted over 100k each! He is a man to learn from!
Scott Drake
Here is a marketer who is not afraid to voice his opinion! We need this sort of person working with us. Just to remind us it is ok to be you!
Roy Fielding
Here is a man who is not afraid to take you under his wing and teach you all he knows! I have been on Roy's list the longest! He even talked to me on the phone! Not to many marketers will use the personal touch!
Juan Delgado
Juan dabbles in Internet Marketing. He is more focused on direct sales and teaching. You could say the lessons I have learned from Juan is why I started this blog. I am new to his list! His blogging newsletters have inspired me!

I am still making my way around the extensive list of marketers out there! I will report to you my feelings on each of the marketers I come into contact with!

Until next time!
